Multi-Channel and Quick-Change Magazine Bar Feeder Irco's ecoProfi bar feeder system, with sales, support and repair services provided by Lexair, is compatible with standard and Swiss-type lathes as well as machining centers and rotary transfer machines. The system delivers automatic, multi-sized bar feeding in a small-footprint suited for job shops and manufacturers looking to in- crease flexibility, productivity and efficiency. The system circulates oil or coolant throughout the guide channels continuously to create a hydro- dynamic effect to dampen and stabilize the bar for concentricity and spindle rotations per minute. It has 0.2" to 2" (5 mm to 50 mm) barstock capacity; a one-button guide channel change-over compared with 45 minutes or longer; three guide channels standard, expandable to six guide channels; standard lengths of 10 ft., 13 ft. and 20 ft. (3,000, 4,000 and 6,000 mm); custom models available up to 33 ft. (10,000 mm) long and 5.1" diameter barstock; remnant retraction and ejection to the rear of the bar loader, and through the subspindle part unloading is also available. :: Lexair Inc. 859-255-5001, Thread Mill Machines Three Threads at a Time Allied Machine & Engineering's AccuThread T3, part of the exist- ing thread mill line, is built for machining hardened or hard-to- machine materials such as stainless steel tool steel, and high- temp alloys. It is designed to machine only three threads at a time, reducing tool pressure and increasing the chances of tool survival. Offered in both inch-shank and metric-shank options, the thread mill is made for deeper- than-standard threads, available in 2 × D and 3 × D. Allied offers this thread mill for UN thread forms with pitches from No. 1-64 to 9 / 16 " - 12" as well as ISO thread forms with pitches from M2 × 0.4 to M12 × 1.75. In addition, Allied Machine & Engineering provides AM210 coating to these thread mills to protect from excess wear and improve tool life. Allied Machine & Engineering's AccuThread T3 is offered in both inch-shank and metric-shank options and is made for deeper-than-standard threads. :: Allied Machine & Engineering 800-321-5537, Laser Machine Delivers Sharper Beam MC Machinery Systems Inc.'s eX-CFR 4500W resonator CO2 Mit- subishi laser machine delivers a pulse for a sharper beam, cleaner parts and 90-percent lower gas consumption. Many laser machines are limited by aging resonators, so upgrading the resonator can im- prove piercing time and reduce maintenance and operation costs. CO2 lasers provide advanced programming and high-speed cutting for maximum productivity. The eX-series is said to provide faster movement, more powerful piercing and an eco-mode that reduces costs while the machine is running. :: MC Machinery Systems Inc. 888-297-9895, PRODUCTS 54 PRODUCTION MACHINING :: MAY 2018 T-Type blades and Hollow Ground blades: • M2 for general usage with excellent toughness • Cobalt for highest heat resistance and higher RPM applications • • T15PM for difficult to machine materials with good heat resistance Micro-grain Carbide Tipped Double End T-Type blades and Single End Hollow Ground blades. Solid Carbide T-Type blades for longer wear, less galling, and better finish at high speeds. All blades available tin coated.
