SUPPLIER SHOWCASE XD38HII The New Heavyweight in Swiss Type Machining Large Capacity | 8 Axis Exceptional Value Hanwha Machinery America's XD38HII is a Swiss-type lathe with bar capacity up to 38 mm (1.50" diameter) at the main and sub spindle. Six leveling pads under the base of the single-piece casting equally support the load under the headstock, the guide bushing housing and the full casting, supporting the sub spindle at its fully retracted position. A centrally located oversized guide bushing housing is intended to ensure process stability in heavy cutting conditions for tough materials. Features include eight-axis capability, an optional B-axis toolpost, as many as 30 tool positions with 11 live tool units, and additional machining capabilities for complex parts. The backworking station includes a programmable Y-2 axis and four static and four live tool positions.
