Inc. 800-877-9110, greenerd.com Mitchell Metal Products Wins First National Reshoring Award Mitchell Metal Products of Merrill, Wis- consin, has received the first National Reshoring Award in recognition of the company's success bringing manufactur- ing back home to the U.S. The award, given by The Reshoring Initiative and the Precision Metalforming Associa- tion (PMA), honors a company that has effectively reshored products, parts or tooling made primarily by metal forming, fabricating or machining. Mitchell Metal Products was selected after using reshoring to complete more end products with less lead time. In 2016, the company manufactured a cultivator handle subassembly product, increasing the production volume from 4,500 made overseas to 30,000 made in Wisconsin. The award was presented on Sept. 28 this year, at Sourcing Solutions, a procure- ment program hosted by PMA. :: The Reshoring Initiative 847-726-2975, reshorenow.org Oelheld Open House Unveils US Headquarters Oelheld U.S. Inc. held an open house cel- ebration to introduce its 24,000-square- foot facility in West Dundee, Illinois. The facility houses increased production capac- ity, increased storage, a new R&D; labora- tory and a tanker unloading station. The building was designed with future expansion to 42,000 square feet in mind and was built "green" with LED lighting with auto on/off, sunken floor in the ware- house to contain spills and radiant heating in office floors. :: Oelheld U.S. Inc. 847-531-8501, oelheld.com :: Renishaw Engineer Wins University Prize Roxanne Pollard, a mechanical design engineer at Renishaw Inc., has been awarded the TATA prize, given to the highest achieving part-time student at the University of Wales. Ms. Pollard, a former Renishaw apprentice, achieved a first-class honors degree in mechanical engineering. MC Machinery Hosts Grand Opening MC Machinery Systems Inc. hosted more than 1,000 customers, visitors and team members for the grand opening of its new headquarters in Elk Grove Village, Illinois (Chicago), in September this year. The event was one of the first opportuni- ties for customers and partners to explore the 175,000-square-foot facility, which includes a 50,000-square-foot showroom among many other modern amenities. In addition to a tour of the facility, MC Machinery experts and key vendors hosted 10 different seminars on best practices and trends in modern metal processing.
