Tools Deburr on Even and Uneven Bore Edges Heule Tool Corp.'s COFA-C Series tools are for deburring elliptical or contoured sur- faces in large diameters. Replaceable solid carbide coated blades for holes from 6-26 mm are available from stock, with vari- ous coatings providing longer tool life and optimum performance based on materials being machined, the company says. This technology provides different blade and spring options to create the most ef- fective deburring tool for any application depending upon hole geometry and mate- rial being machined. The COFA-C series is designed for ID and OD elliptical deburring on even and uneven bore edges in a single operation. According to the company, they are ideal for automotive and aerospace ap- plications such as forks, yokes, common rails, castings, tubes with cross bores, and other workpieces with cross bores in main bores. The larger sized C series consists of an independent blade that is fit into a more rigidly guided blade holder. This increases the tool life and process capability, the company says. :: Heule Tool Corp. 800-213-4341 heuletool.com Close Pitch Finishing Cutter Enhances Machining Walter's M2136 is a multi-tooth close pitch finishing cutter with eight cutting edges per insert. These stable, negative inserts pro- mote not only stability, but also ease of handling as well as leading to high levels of surface quality during the finishing process, the company says. The inserts for the M2136 are available in two variants, the B67 and the D67. The B67, known as the "universal" one, is primarily aimed at medium and difficult machining conditions and produces maximum cutting-edge stability and high feed rates under these conditions, the company says. The D67, known as the "easy cutting" one, is especially useful for universal applications and is well suited for medium machining conditions. The M2136 is available in diameters from 2"-6" (50-160 mm) and is enhanced with Walter's Tiger·tec Silver coating in three CVD-coated grades (WAK15, WKP25S and WKP35S). There is also one PVD-coated grade. Additionally, the new cutter's Torx Plus screws promote good handling and high torque. According to the company, the M2136 supplants the older close-pitch finishing cutter, the F4049. :: Walter USA LLC, 262-347-2400, walter-tools.com/us The only CAM SOFTWARE you will ever need 5-axis MillTurn High Speed Machining Production Milling Swiss-Style Production Turning Direct Corporate Support We respond in 30 minutes or less!
