NEWS manufacturing capabilities, as well as increased office space. Schunk will be investing $30 mil- lion in infrastructure, equipment and personnel by 2022. More than 80 new jobs will be created over the course of four years. In addition to the jobs created and the stimulus to the local economy, the manufacturing com- munity will benefit greatly from this resource. "This expansion is important for us to continue meeting the needs of our customers. As manufacturing processes grow and change, Schunk will continue to be a leader in the industry with cutting edge technology and a focus that continually places the customer first," says Milton Guerry, president of Schunk USA. Two separate expansions will be built in phases. Schunk celebrated this milestone with a ground-breaking ceremony on Tuesday, Aug. 15. Con- struction of the expansion at 211 Kitty Hawk Drive in Morrisville, North Carolina, is expected to be completed in the fall of 2018. :: Schunk Inc. 800-772-4865, us.schunk.com :: Seco Partners with University for Internship Program Seco Tools LLC has partnered with Fer- ris State University (FSU) in Big Rapids, Michigan, to offer local area engineering students an opportunity to participate in a multi-year internship program at Seco. The program invites the top three engi- neering applicants to participate for an initial first-year internship. Then, based on their interest and performance, the students are potentially asked back for a second year. Once a student graduates from the program, Seco often presents an offer of employment at one of the company's several U.S. locations. Under the guidance of seasoned mentors, Seco interns experience a com- bination of classroom training and real- world business experience while earning their degree at FSU. Human resource generalist and head of Seco's internship program, Andrew Nalian, says. "One of our values is family spirit, and we want to make sure our students are taken care of and have all the tools they need to succeed. Because Seco takes care of everything, the students' parents don't worry about their son or daughter moving to a new city and having to locate and pay for housing. If the intern is participating in the second-year sales program, the parents don't need to worry about a car either, as a company car is provided." :: Seco Tools LLC 248-528-5200, secotools.com/us Sometimes it takes multiple tools to do a job right, and sometimes it takes just one – if that one is Form-A-Groove ® .
