Polygon Inserts and Holders Offer Long Life and Increased Productivity Carmex Precision Tools LLC's Swiss-Line combines a new type of polygon inserts and holders for external turning, grooving, parting and threading. The high precision ground inserts are constructed of solid carbide with specialty coating for long tool life and in- creased productivity. Developed for machining a range of materials, a selection of inserts can be used with the same toolholders. Holders are coated to resist abrasion for a long service life. According to the company, the polygon inserts have been specially designed and constructed to deliver high precision performance, excellent finish and improved production in Swiss- type machining applications. The polygon shape, combined with Carmex's special clamping system, allows for fast change-over, and the carbide/coating combination is engineered to withstand the stresses of hard machining in a small parts environment. :: Carmex Precision Tools LLC 262-628-5030, carmexusa.com PRODUCTS 50 PRODUCTION MACHINING :: AUGUST 2017 Cutting Fluid Extends Tool Life Walter Surface Technologies' Coolcut S-50 soluble cutting fluid improves the life of cutting tools and reduces heat buildup and friction on work- pieces, even in tougher applications and on hard-to-machine metals. Special EP additives in the liquid will provide extra lubricity to cut materials such as high tensile steel and stainless steel, and titanium, as well as other metals such as aluminum and copper alloys. The fluid forms a stable emulsion and will increase feed, cut- ting speed and production, so manufacturing shops can perform more cuts, faster, all while ensuring better tool life and smooth operation, without having to change liquid, the company says. Relying on Coolcut S-50 will help heavy machining and manu- facturing shops cut down on production time, which in turn helps them reduce costs and downtime. In addition, the cutting fluid provides excellent corrosion protection, is safe to use and will not irritate the skin. :: Walter Surface Technologies 800-522-0321, walter.com by using my OPtimum EFficiency COnsulting service "Harmonize Production Processes" I make the changes, your own people institute them Guaranteed if no improvements, No charge "The proof of the pudding is in the eating" Ask for details opefco1@gmail.com Phone: 864-320-1643 Please text, mail, or email only, because of ongoing voicemail problems Bill Peifer, Opefco, 202 Kinard Way, Simpsonville, SC29681-1965 Improve Your Machining Output With Your Existing Equipment
