Air Chuck Jaws Allow
for Precise Repeatability
Dillon Manufacturing's air chuck jaws include Style M and Style
R, like those often machined using air chucks. CNC machined for
accuracy, the pins serve as a locator and allow precise repeatability
plus fast installation. Available as blank top jaws in 1018 steel or
6061 aluminum, or pie shaped jaws using A360 or 6061 alumi-
num, plus 1018 steel, they are useful for all types of air chucks.
While air chuck jaws may appear the same, there are significant
performance differences because of manufacturers' selected stan-
dards and the manufacturing process used to achieve them.

The WDN10 from Walter is a wear-resistant polycrystalline
diamond (PCD) insert that delivers outstanding hardness, a low
coefficient of friction and minimum heat distortion, according
to the company. The inserts produce maximum productivity
and cost efficiency in the high speed machining of nonferrous
materials.
The WDN10 inserts are designed to achieve excellent sur-
face finishes thanks to their exceptional cutting-edge sharp-
ness. This high degree of sharpness is the result of their PCD
grain size and the manufacturing process. The inserts boast
chipbreaker geometry, are laser marked with grade designation
and ISO and ANSI corner radius designation, and are backed by
support from the company's PCD specialists.
