The area surrounding the Columbus Convention Center is home to 31 local craft breweries in Brewer's Row. SHORT NORTH The Short North is a neighborhood of independent restaurants, pubs, nightclubs, art galleries and coffee shops. Located immediately adjacent to the convention center on High Street, most of the Short North spots are within walking distance from PMTS. Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams 714 N. The district features more than a dozen restaurants and bars, two live music venues and the Arena Grand Movie Theatre. A&R Music Bar 391 Neil Ave. R Bar Arena 413 N. High St. to offer than great craft beer, though. e convention center is located right in between two of Columbus' main entertainment districts—the Short North Arts District and the Arena District. Both areas offer a variety of options for entertainment and dining, featuring places you aren't likely to find in your home town. If it's more beer you are after, check out German Village/ Brewery District. It's a short drive, but worth it if you're interested in exploring some of the Columbus history, which is German and includes beer.
