North American Advancement and Expansion at Renishaw Leo Somerville, former president of Ren- ishaw Inc., has been promoted to over- see Renishaw North America in a newly created position to advance all aspects of Renishaw's healthcare business. Replacing Mr. Somerville as president of Renishaw Inc. is Howard Salt, former business man- Mr. Salt. David Bozich, former MT/scanning business manager, was appointed V.P. of operations, with responsibilities includ- ing human resources, IT, quality, service center, warehouse, shipping and receiving, facilities and compliance. Denis Zayia, for- mer national sales and marketing manager, was appointed V.P. of sales and marketing, and responsibilities include his existing product lines and services, as well as set- ting up regional technical and sales offices throughout the United States. Renishaw's North American growth continues in the Detroit suburb of Auburn Hills, Michigan, with a 20,070-square- foot technology and research center in Oakland Technology Park. The center will provide turnkey measuring solutions to automotive OEMs, while also supporting the medical and aerospace industries. The company will also soon complete its 133,000-square-foot office and ware- house facility in West Dundee, Illinois. This includes the North American Solutions Center – part of Renishaw's network of global Solutions Centers, opening over the next year.
