PRODUCTS productionmachining.com :: 55 Sensor Detects Any Appearance Change Keyence Corp. of America's LR-W series is a full-spectrum sensor designed to detect any change in appearance. It is capable of ana- lyzing the full visible light spectrum. This technology allows opera- tors to solve everything from simple presence/absence applications to complex applications that require them to detect the slightest differences in a shade of color. The sensor is designed to be calibrated quickly with its simple one-touch teach function. Its detailed digital display and highly vis- ible indicator light were designed with the user in mind. Featuring a 500-mm range, the LR-W can be mounted wher- ever needed. To ensure stable detection, the sensor features an adjustable beam spot. This allows the LR-W to achieve a focused beam spot, even at long distances. An IP65/67 enclosure rating minimizes the need for maintenance and guarantees longevity in demanding environments. Given the extent of what the LR-W can do, photo-eye stan- dardization throughout a facility is now possible, according to the company. :: Keyence Corp. of America 888-539-3623 keyence.com
