PRODUCTS :: 49 Two-Axis CNC Conversions for 36/100 Recess Unit The standard units already in the shop's tooling inventory can be used to achieve full two-axis capability of a Hydromat machine. The Core Powered two-axis CNC conversion kit is a bolt-on attachment designed for the 36/100 recess unit. This system uses roller lead screws and rotary encoders, replacing all hydraulic con- nections with mechanical screw technology. These self-contained units interface with the Hydromat similar to how threading units connect, making installation and setups familiar, without any equipment or electrical modifications. At a fraction of the cost of other options, this system makes it practical to add CNC control for profiling, tapers and chip control on jobs where other systems would be too expensive, or required equipment modifications that would be difficult to justify, according to the company. :: Core Powered Inc. 905-362-9377 • Highest Quality • Precision ground for consistent tolerances • Standard sizes in stock, or we can quote to your specifications • • Stocked in 76PM, T15PM, M2, M42, plus 4140 for carbide tipping Call us for quantity discounts! The cast iron turning grades reach a new level of toughness and wear resistance, as well as reduce tool waste and process more parts per edge, the company says. With the latest Duratomic coating technology, these new grades have a wide application range and an overall increase in tool life and productivity. The Duratomic process manipulates aluminum and oxygen at the atomic level to create insert coat- ings with unmatched toughness and abra- sion resistance, according to the company. TK1501 and TK0501 integrate Seco's Edge Intelligence concept. Chrome Used- Edge Detection makes it easy to tell if an insert's cutting edges have made contact with a workpiece, the company says. The inserts are optimized to provide the high- est possible contrast to make it easy to instantly identify when an edge has been used, even in low-light environments. Chrome Used-Edge Detection contrib- utes to a potential 30-percent decrease in waste because of prematurely discarded inserts. :: Seco Tools LLC, 248-528-5200
