PRODUCTS Chuck Stop Locates Short Parts in a Three-Jaw Lathe Chuck Royal Products' chuck stop provides a simple method for locating The Royal chuck stop is accurate—front and back locating surfaces short parts in a three-jaw lathe chuck. The web-shaped design are parallel within ± 0.0004". It accommodates chuck jaws up to eliminates the danger of using spacers or parallels that could come 55-mm (2 1/8") wide, and its anodized fnish provides good wear loose and be thrown from a spinning chuck. Setup time is greatly reduced—no need to bore soft jaws. 12-mm Cutter Bodies and Inserts Minimize Runout Dapra Corporation adds 12-mm cutter bodies and inserts to its line of 90-degree square shoulder precision mills. Machined from double-hardened tool steel to minimize runout and maximize strength, these cutters are designed with a fne pitch for faster feed rates and a smoother cutting action that generates less noise and pressure. This particular precision cutter and insert combination provides longer tool life and improved productivity, especially on lighterduty machines. End mills are available in cutting diameters from 0.625" to 1.500". Shell mills, with varying pitch options, cut from 1.5" to 4". Helical roughing end mills are available in 1" and 1.25" diameters. The maximum depth of cut for 12-mm inserts is 0.430". The 12-mm inserts feature a stronge geometry for heavier cuts using smalldiameter cutters. Inserts are available with an APET cutting edge for high performance milling of most hard steels and cast irons, or an XPET cutting edge for soft steels, stainless steels and high temperature alloys. :: Dapra Corporation 800-243-3344, 58 PRODUCTION MACHINING :: JULY 2013
