Pneumatic Atomizing Nozzles with Solenoid Lechler's AirMist Series 166 pneumatic atomizing nozzles feature a solenoid coil that electronically operates a needle valve to open the nozzle's liquid passage and then close it down to shut of fow. This operation is instantaneous and not dependent upon the distance the air control is from the nozzle, enabling the Series 166 nozzle to cycle faster than the Series 136 AirMist does when a pneumatic valve is attached to it, the company says. In addition, the pneumatic valve requires an additional pilot air signal to open the needle valve for spraying, but the Series 166 unit does not require additional air input, making it especially appropriate if metered air supply is limited. The nozzles are designed to create a fne mist for humidifcation, cooling or coating. :: Lechler Inc. 800-777-2926 6154 N CR 33 • Tiffn, OH 44883 877-769-7658 e-mail: 52 PRODUCTION MACHINING :: JULY 2013
