Three or four multi-axis slides and eight-station live milling turret that can overlap as many as five tools in the cut simultaneously. A turret-mounted pickoff spindle is standard and the base machine comes with a gang platform supporting three backworking tools. The LNTS offers an optional eight-position backworking turret. The main turret accepts live tooling with four live toolholders being standard. Spindle sizes include 36mm, 42mm, 51mm, and 65mm. High-Production CNC Mill/Turn for Complete Complex Machining of Bar Stock Starting at $189,900, the Quicktech i-42 Ultimate permits complete machining, including complex milling of medium-di- ameter bar stock. With two turning & milling spindles and two B-axes, it provides 10 axes and up to 56 tools. Bar capacity for the 15HP main spindle is 42mm and 30mm for the 7.5HP sub-spindle. Both spindles feature full C-axes synchronized for fast/accurate part transfer. A 4-axis (linear X/Y/Z and rotating B-axes) gang-type vertical tool post serves each spindle. The main post has 6 OD & 5 ID turning tools, and 12 live tools. The sub post has 5 OD & 9 ID turning tools, and 12 live tools. Each has a Y-axis for off-center milling. Live tools are mounted in a continuous 360˚ B-axis.
