D-Zolve 917 Dissolves Difficult-to-Remove Rust The D-Zolve 917 from Solvent Kleene Inc. is formulated to dissolve difficult-to-re- move heavy rust from parts ith complex shapes and bends, including rusted frozen bolts and nuts. Designed for use in an immersion tank heated to 135°F (57°C), it has no chlorinated or ozone deplet- ing components and is non-flammable. It dissolves poder coating, strips chemi- cal agent resistant coating (CRC) and paint. Further minimizing health risks, the company says D-Zolve 917 has a lo level of toxicity and is non- carcinogenic. The process is accomplished by reducing the total pressure in a controlled environmental chamber containing a part submerged in a liquid, to belo the vapor pres- sure of the liquid. The process results in the formation of vapor bubbles at the solid part's surface here typically nucleation sites for bubble formation can be found in the form of imperfections, crevices or foreign par- ticle material. The in- tegrated ireless system accelerates the measurement of orkpieces hile protecting the surface of the test specimens. The spindle makes a 5-mm movement ith one revolution of the friction drive sleeve and, according to the company, can be positioned 10 times faster than a standard micrometer. This saves the user time hen measur- ing orkpieces ith different sizes. The non-rotating system provides a solution for measuring film thickness ithout tisting and damaging these delicate materials. The 10-mm display and intuitive operating concept support users in production and quality assurance, featuring measuring reliability, fatigue-free reading and simple operation. The digital micrometer is available in eight standard measur- ing ranges of 0" through 4" in 1" increments (0 through 100 mm in 25-mm increments). Measurement data is transferred to an i-Stick on a computer via an integrated ireless system that does not use data cables. unique serial number for the instrument is also transferred, so the user knos hich instrument made the measurement and hen the last calibration as performed. Using the company's MarCom softare, operators can take a measurement and transmit measuring data directly into Microsoft Excel or into any indos program via a keyboard code ithout using external transmitters or cables.
