PRODUCTS / SERVICES Insertable Form Drill System Schwanog's form drill systems offer superior quality and efficiency in the manufacture of precision parts in areas such as medical, automotive, aerospace and other indus- tries. The form drill inserts are individually ground based on customer drawings, allowing for complex geometries and superior surface finish quality. Tool setup times are reduced significantly through quick tool change-overs in the machine, eliminating the need for re-centering the drill. This drill system ensures safe processing due to the coolant-through holder and high repeatability. The system is available for boring and trepanning diameters up to 28 mm (1.100"). It also eliminates the need for resharpening. Insertable Form Tool System The insertable tooling system can be applied, but is not limited, to applications such as OD and ID grooving, form drilling, thread whirling and broaching, which often amount to cost reductions of more than 40 percent. The system can be used on any type of machine tool such as Swiss-type, conventional and multi-spindle automatic lathes, rotary transfer machines, HMCs and VMCs. The advantages of the insertable tooling system lies in quick tool change-overs in the machine due to the insertable tool as well as offering superior surface finish quality and high repeatability.
