SUPPLIER SHOWCASE 36 PRODUCTION MACHINING :: JANUARY 2018 Hydromat rotary transfer machines feature a modular system consisting of as many as 16 horizontal and eight vertical toolspindle units, rigidly mounted around a precision cast iron ring, providing tremendous versatility and fl exibility in a turnkey system. Hydromat introduces the EPIC GEN II, a streamlined version of the Plug n' Play architecture offering the highest degree of performance/ fl exibility, including complex multi-axis operations. ICON Technologies provides unique multi-station mill-turn centers— ICON 6-150, ICON 8-150 and ICON 6-250—to the precision metalcut- ting marketplace. Designed with four to six machining stations, dedicated loading/unloading stations, the ICON line uses fl exible machining principles. Equipped with a six- or eight-position table, they shuttle pallets to machining modules for fast, ultra-precision cutting. High-torque spindles in 10,000-rpm, 20,000-rpm, 42,000-rpm and 60,000- rpm con fi gurations are offered. The unique new Eclipse 12-100 is a ground up redesign with all new electric servo spindles and slides, each having three-axis capability as standard. No hydraulics are needed for tool spindle motion. The new heavy ductile iron machine casting is 2 m in diameter, almost twice as large as the traditional 12-station Hydromat, yields better accuracy and repeatability. Eclipse; the next advancement for exceptional production machining.
