Collet Rotary Table is Alternative for Jaw Chucks CNC Indexing & Feeding Technologies' TJR AR-5C pneumatic collet rotary table provides an alternative to three- or four-jaw chucks for users whose workpieces require the use of 5C collets. The AR-5C rotary table employs a 5C collet closer system and can be integrated into a CNC machine control as a full fourth axis or operated as an indexer via TJR's Single Axis Controller (SAC), the company says. The table features a pneumatic braking system and is available in right-handed and left-handed motor mount configurations. According to the company, a radial-axial preloaded bearing system provides high rigidity, and a dual-lead worm shaft and worm gear ensure long-term indexing accuracy in both directions. Table diameter is 125 mm (4.92"), with a through-hole diameter of 35 mm (1.37"). Minimum indexing increment is 0.001 degree, and maximum table rotation speed is 83.3 rpm. Peak allowable workpiece load is 100 kg (220 lb), the table weighs 34 kg (75 lb) and servomotor models are available for FANUC or Mitsubishi tapers, the company says. :: CNC Indexing & Feeding Technologies 513-770-4200, cncindexing.com Software Reduces Calculation Time 3D Systems' Geomagic Control X 2018 is a manufacturing software solution designed for the aerospace and automotive manufacturers. This scanner-agnostic platform provides integrated capabilities, including simplified and automated airfoil analysis, surface-analysis tools to instantly identify corrosion and denting, and comparative analysis tools, the company says. Legacy files from Geomagic Control 2015 can also be imported. The software solution provides up to 50 percent increase in ef- ficiency path to inspection results. According to the company, this reduces calculation time by as much as 50 percent and enables users to import, align, and compare. In addition, model-based geometric dimensioning and tolerancing assignment workflows, coupled with scan-pair searching, cut model setup and evaluation times by more than 50 percent, the company says. The software solution enables customers to create inspection models as well as scan, evaluate and communicate inspection re- sults with customizable and intuitive reports. Automatic scan-pair searching also operates in the background during inspection. This pairing map maintains the pair associations, allowing users to view, edit and report, thus providing understanding of the connection between measurement and reference models. In addition, process automation reduces setup time significantly over industry com- petitors, the company says. :: 3D Systems, 803-326-3900, 3dsystems.com productionmachining.com :: 39 PRODUCTS To submit your company's product, contact Lori Beckman at lbeckman@productionmachining.com . Siphon-Fed Spray Nozzle Atomizes Variety of Liquids Exair Corp.'s 1/2 NPT siphon fed atomizing spray nozzle atomizes a variety of fluids in a round spray pattern where no liquid pressure is available and heavy applica- tion of liquid is needed. This corrosion resistant type 303SS nozzle draws liquid into the airstream and mixes it internally while providing up to 24" of suction height, the company says. Liquid can be adjusted us- ing the adjustment valve. The spray nozzle provides high liquid flow up to 68 GPH in a 6" diameter round pattern and is also available in a no-drip version to conserve liquids. According to the company, the spray nozzles can coat, cool, treat and paint products using compressed air and liquids with a viscosity of as much as 300 centipoise. The stainless steel con- struction of these atomizing nozzles adds to their durability and corrosion resistance. :: Exair Corp. 800-903-9247, exair.com
