44 PRODUCTION MACHINING :: NOVEMBER 2017 PARTS CLEANING Ultrasonic Generator Eliminates Power Board Components Omegasonics' ultrasonic generator, the Matrix 9000 Mark II, is said to eliminate 20 percent of the components on the power board. In doing so, the generator features a single power board that eliminates the variant frequencies of two power boards. The lighter Matrix 9000 Mark II also offers better stability and im- proved safety features, the company says. It is the same size as its pre- decessor, the Matrix 9000, but it generates less heat because it runs at a cooler operating temperature. However, like the Matrix 9000, it still uses a universal input power supply of 100 to 240 V while delivering constant wattage. According to the company, it also has a heat sync that contributes to temperature reduction. Additionally, the unit has an optional digital display that shows output power from the generator. :: Omegasonics, 800-669-8227, omegasonics.com High-Pressure Spray Washer for Heavy Parts Ransohoff, a division of Cleaning Technologies Group LLC, has introduced its Mega Jet Pressure Blast, an economical manual high- pressure spray washer for large, heavy parts where floor space comes at a premium. The parts can be loaded with an overhead hoist crane on to a rotating table. The solution delivery system has proven to be ideal for intricate details on machined parts, the company says. The washer is contained in a stainless steel housing with the construction that Ransohoff is known for. Its cleaning process provides high pressure spray impingement manipulated by hand to the various geometries of the parts. The washer has a work enve- lope of 48" high and a 24" diameter. Some typical applications for this machine can include large gears, large aviation components, large molds and large dunnage parts. :: Cleaning Technologies Group, 877-933-8278, ctgclean.com Non-Aerosol Degreasers are Safe and Easy to Use WD-40 Co. has added non-aerosol industrial-strength cleaner and degreaser products to its Specialist line. WD-40 Specialist industrial-strength cleaner and degreaser is low-odor and cleans so well that it outperforms other leading brand degreasers, according to the company.
