Triple Pass Mist and Smoke Collector Accepts HEPA Post Filtration Option The Tri-Mist 1000 mist collector is a five-stage, triple-pass high capacity mist and smoke collector. This newest addition to the product line features a triple pass electronic precipitator cell design combined with mechanical impingement. The triple pass ESP cell design by itself provides 159 square feet of collection area. That, in combination with pre-filtration consisting of 4" of mechanical separation and impingement with a 1" final filter results in an efficient, compact machine mountable system, the company says. The Tri-Mist 1000 is designed to accept a high efficiency HEPA post filtration option for those interested in an even higher level of air filtration. The HEPA option provides filtration efficiency levels of 99.97 percent DOP at 0.3 micron. The mist and smoke collec- tor is equally effective on water soluble as well as oil coolants. The system draws the oil/coolant-laden air stream through two, 2" wire mesh impinges. It then passes vertically through a bank of three electrostatic precipitator cells each with 53 square feet of surface collection area. Each ESP cell is powered by its own power supply. :: Ketcham & Company 203-322-6667, ketchaminc.com Series Indexes Repeatability and Tool Life Stability Tungaloy Corp.'s TetraMini- Cut series features a com- pact four cornered insert that is clamped in a pocket for indexing repeatability and tool life stability, the company says. The series includes two chipbreaker styles. The TCG style chipbreaker incorporates rake angle and edge preparations while the TCP style chipbreaker features a large rake angle with a sharp cutting edge. Its maximum depth of cut is now extended to 3.5 mm (0.14") from 2.5 mm (0.01"). To meet the requirements from small and miniature part manufacturers who are grooving with R0.1 mm (R0.004") or smaller, the TCP line also includes inserts with R0.05 mm (R0.002") corner radii.
